The Naked & Dressed Pavillion

The Naked & Dressed Pavilion explores the dual nature of architecture as both structure and skin, essence and appearance. Conceived as a suspended metal ring supported by a constellation of slender pillars, the pavilion can exist in two distinct states: naked, revealing the purity of its structural logic, or dressed, enveloped by a lightweight textile that transforms it into a contemporary canopy.

This ability to shift between exposure and enclosure reflects the project’s central intention: to create an architecture that is adaptable, performative, and responsive to its environment. The pavilion becomes both a frame and a shelter, an object that changes identity through the simple act of being clothed or unclothed. In this oscillation between states, it invites visitors to reflect on the fluid boundaries between construction and ornament, permanence and ephemerality, and the roles architecture can inhabit in a world that increasingly values flexibility and transformation.
